This central team will work on the agenda of decarbonisation of heating, including zero emission buildings, zero carbon renovation and phasing out of existing fossil fuels in the whole building sector. The work will be supporting phasing out individual heating based on fossil fuel in form of natural gas and fuel oil. Topics will include a new legal basis for national bans of products or systems using fossil fuels. Systems using renewable energy sources such as biofuels will be targeted as well as zero carbon districts, which is a topic that will include collaboration with CA RES. Definitions systems on RES, nearby production or on-site will be part of the work, in collaboration with CT 6 on Calculations and life cycle assessment.
