With a full room and very active discussions, the EPBD CA Stakeholders meeting “Implementation of the EPBD in Europe | Training and NZEB issues”, held in hotel Bloom in Brussels last Thursday 13 November 2014, is considered a major success. The event targeted representatives from the public sector, NGOs, the building industry, financing sector stakeholders, as well as the coordinators of Intelligent Energy Europe Projects, aiming to exchange views and identify directions for future work in the areas of training of experts and Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings. STAKEHOLDERS MEETING EU Sustainable Energy Week, Brussels, 28/6/2013 Under the auspices of the Irish EU Presidency – represented by Mr. Fergus O’Dowd, T.D., Minister of State, Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government of Ireland – the 2012 Book ‘Implementing the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive -  Featuring Country Reports’ was handed to Ms. Claudia Canevari, DG Energy, EC during the joint EC - Concerted Action EPBD stakeholders event on the 28th of June 2013. Panel discussions followed between several top experts in the field of the EPBD and the market. The first discussion triggered interest through visionary views on the progress in Building Energy Efficiency in the EU. The second focused on Driving the market transformation and dealt with Vision,Challenges, and Opportunities for  Delivering the Potential. Brussels, June 28, 2013, 9:00 – 14:00 Hotel Thon EU, Rue de la Loi, 75 Updated 2013.06.27 | The Concerted Action EPBD brings together the national authorities implementing this legislation, and other bodies appointed and entrusted by them to do so. It fosters exchange of information and experiences amongst representatives designated by all 27 Member States, plus Norway and Croatia. The Concerted Action EPBD is organizing its annual Stakeholders meeting in Brussels on June 28, the last day of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, where it will launch the Book of National Reports 2012 containing the national reports describing the EPBD implementation in all the MS at the beginning of 2013. After the formal presentation of the book, two discussion panels will look at progress in building energy efficiency in the EU since the EPBD was launched, comparing expectations to achievements and discussing steps needed to reach the goals stated for 2020: Panel 1:...
